Dakota Daetwiler

Self-taught oil painter Dakota Daetwiler was born and raised in California, and now resides in Maine with her family, nine chickens, and a dog. Her vibrant colorful work often embodies her favorite interests: Nature, music, peace, love, joy, happiness, harmony, animals, reading, and learning. She creates paintings that transport people from the mundane to the magical, and she sometimes includes hidden elements in the work. Daetwiler likes to travel and paint things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling.
